Project: Study on access to community resources for individuals deprived of liberty
Goals of the project:
The Bidesari Association is a non-profit organisation founded in 1994 to support individuals deprived of liberty and those at risk of social exclusion in the Basque Country. In collaboration with this organisation, the FIADYS Foundation has developed the “Study on access to community resources for individuals deprived of liberty.”
The aim of this study is to generate knowledge on access to community resources for individuals who have experienced deprivation of liberty, within the current context of expanding non-custodial sentences. It seeks to analyse their profiles, reintegration pathways, and the inequalities affecting their process of social inclusion. In addition, the study aims to identify barriers, needs, and situations of particular vulnerability, especially among women. Finally, it aspires to identify good practices and to formulate recommendations to improve social intervention from an intersectional perspective.
