Project: Protection of victims of gender-based violence through the prevention of recidivism among offenders convicted of gender-based violence and subject to an alternative community-based measure.

Goals of the project:

For the effective protection of victims of gender-based violence, it is necessary to improve the recidivism rates among current gender offenders and effectively prevent the commission of new offenses. To achieve this, it is crucial to study the profiles of repeat offenders more thoroughly to identify the risk factors that explain such recidivism, as well as the circumstances surrounding the abandonment of treatment programs.

The purpose of this study is to generate an early warning indicator system that allows the identification of high-risk profiles in the commission of new episodes of gender-based violence. This system can then be used in various intervention contexts, such as in the assignment of measures or at the beginning of intervention programs. All of this would contribute to improving program compliance rates, reducing recidivism rates, especially in more severe cases, and, consequently, enhancing the protection of victims of gender-based violence.
