Project: Profile of individuals convicted of sexual offences and sentenced to non-custodial measures

Goals of the project:

In collaboration with the National Office for the Fight against Sexual Violence (ONVIOS), under the Secretariat of State for Security, we are developing this project with the aim of deepening knowledge on sexual violence and improving prevention and intervention strategies.

This study focuses on analysing the profile of individuals convicted of sexual offences who are serving alternative measures to imprisonment, considering relevant sociodemographic, criminological, and penal variables. Through a descriptive approach, it seeks to identify risk factors associated with these trajectories and to better understand the elements that influence their behaviour. This knowledge will enable the design of more tailored and effective intervention programmes, contributing to a more specialised response to this issue. Furthermore, the project aims to provide evidence to support the development of public policies focused on prevention, monitoring, and improving care in the field of sexual violence.
