FIADYS participated in the 26th Annual Conference of the European Society of Criminology (EuroCrim)<\/strong>, held in Warsaw, Poland<\/strong>, where we had the opportunity to present the progress and results of two of our main research projects to the international scientific community: C\u00edrculos Espa\u00f1a and PREVENT<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On Thursday, 10 September<\/strong>, Meritxell P\u00e9rez<\/strong> presented the paper \u201cEvolution and Outcomes of Circles of Support and Accountability (CoSA) in Spain\u201d<\/em>, focusing on the results obtained throughout the development of the C\u00edrculos Espa\u00f1a<\/strong> project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This project evaluates the implementation in Spain of the international Circles of Support and Accountability (CoSA)<\/strong> model, a community-based intervention approach aimed at promoting the social reintegration of people convicted of sexual offences and contributing to the prevention of reoffending. The presentation highlighted the main findings from the evaluation and monitoring of the Circles implemented in Spain, as well as their development over time and the lessons learned from their implementation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On Saturday, 12 September<\/strong>, Jes\u00fas Palomo<\/strong>, together with other members of the European PREVENT<\/strong> consortium, participated in the presentation \u201cWhich criminal networks in Europe are high-risk? \u2013 PREVENT Project Part I\u201d<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The presentation provided an opportunity to share some of the project\u2019s findings related to the identification and analysis of high-risk criminal networks in Europe<\/strong>. PREVENT adopts an international approach to improve knowledge of these networks and strengthen capacities to prevent and combat their activities, with particular attention to their infiltration into the legal economy and the development of effective responses and tools to tackle organised crime.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

FIADYS\u2019 participation in EuroCrim provides an opportunity to disseminate the results of our research, discuss and exchange findings with the international scientific community, and learn about new approaches and experiences developed in other countries<\/strong>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
